Foster Wheeler wins award from British Safety Council

Foster Wheeler Energy Limited has collected the five star occupational health and safety audit award from the British Safety Council.
The audit is a comprehensive evaluation of a firm’s entire health and safety management system. It is utilised by companies worldwide to ensure their systems meet health and safety best practice.
Performance is measured against key safety management indicators, helping employers to identify areas of positive and negative practice.
Umberto della Sala, president and COO of Foster Wheeler AG, said: “To achieve this magnificent overall score is testimony to the commitment to world class health and safety performance demonstrated by our Teesside team, underpinned by a five star health and safety management system.”
The representative added that there is a “real and continued commitment” to driving improvement in health and safety performance.
The award follows a five star audit and the British Safety Council looked at the overall performance of the company’s operations in Middlesbrough, Teeside.
