Organisations that are hoping to take part in the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2012 have a week remaining to register their interest in the event.

It recognises achievements in relation to safety signage and registration will close on December 1st, with companies that have met this deadline then having until February 1st to submit their complete submissions on RoSPA Awards USB keys.

David Rawlins, awards manager at RoSPA, said: "We are delighted that the RoSPA Awards not only remain a key fixture in the health and safety calendar but also grow each year."

Mr Rawlins also thanked the awards' sponsors for their continued support.

RoSPA recently launched its safety and health forum 2011, which included a keynote question and answer session with the Health and Safety Executive's chief executive Geoffrey Podger.

Mr Podger was quizzed about changes in regulatory emphasis regarding accident prevention, as well as the voluntary sector. ADNFCR-2754-ID-801220081-ADNFCR
