Estates Excellence scheme 'could highlight warning signs'

26th November 2009 | Warning Signs

A new scheme has been launched to raise awareness of health and safety on industrial estates in the south east, highlighting the importance of warning signs.

The Estates Excellence project will involve a number of free workshops that are designed to encourage a better health and safety culture.

Heather Bryant, project director of Estates Excellence, claims that the involvement of Medway Council will be helpful in raising awareness of conditions in these areas, highlighting the value of warning signs.

She says: "There has been a great response from business to this work, and we aim to help all eligible Medway businesses as well as many others in the coming weeks."

Ms Bryant, who is a a member of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), also emphasised the wide range of the project.

The HSE is running a series of workshops designed to raise awareness of the risks that silicosis can present, which could highlight the importance of warning signs.ADNFCR-2754-ID-19481539-ADNFCR
