EMSc has collected a new accreditation that recognises the firm's efficient health and safety measures.

It has been given SAFEcontractor status, with John Kinge from the scheme noting that EMSc has understood good risk management in a way that many firms have not before.

Commenting on the new accreditation, Dr Alex Mardapittas, EMSc managing director, said: "At EMS we are driven by our desire to maintain a high standard of health and safety across all aspects of our business and we are committed to ensuring the welfare of our employees."

Mr Mardapittas continued by saying that the accreditation illustrates the firm's commitment to upholding high standards of health and safety.

Another firm that has gained SAFEcontractor accreditation is Intelect UK.

The Middlesbrough electrical and mechanical engineering firm applied for the scheme due to a desire for a uniformed standard across all of its operations.

The firm's director John Thompson explained that the recognition gives them an incentive to maintain health and safety standards in the long term.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801309260-ADNFCR
