City Link has collected a gold award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) as a result of its high health and safety standards.

The accolade may prompt businesses to evaluate their safety signage and was awarded after RoSPA analysed the company's accident records as well as its safety management systems.

Karen Farr, head of health, safety and the environment at City Link, said: "We are delighted with our achievement in the annual RoSPA awards. This is the third year running in which we have won the gold."

Ms Farr added that the award illustrates how City Link has instilled impeccable health and safety standards in its workers for a prolonged period of time.

Deeside College has also won a gold standard award from RoSPA in recent weeks, the Flintshire Chronicle has reported.

Niki Shuttleworth, Deeside College's health, safety and sustainability officer, told the newspaper that the institution is delighted to have received the award. ADNFCR-2754-ID-800612826-ADNFCR
