Chiltern International Fire's CPD training course, Fire Protection in Buildings Explained- The Role of Passive Fire Protection Products, is now attracting bookings.

The course is designed to provide clear guidance on passive fire protection products, including how they work, the test process and the legislative framework that supports fire safety in Britain, which may cause firms to introduce new fire safety signs.

Mark Cummings, deputy technical manager of the firm, said: "If they [sales staff] fully understand the passive fire protection process and the surrounding issues, they are better equipped to assist specifiers to make the correct choices."

He commented that the course is a useful training tool for technical managers and sales staff.

Fire safety was highlighted in a recent news report for Newburytoday.co.uk, which found that Thatcham's King Chinese takeaway has been hit with fines of over £11,000 after breaching fire safety regulations.

An Environmental Health inspection discovered inadequate fire protection provision for escape routes and other risks.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801294336-ADNFCR
