The Community Gateway Association (CGA) has picked up an honour from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

It has won a gold award in the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards for the second year in succession, reports 24Dash.

David Rawlins, awards manager at RoSPA, said: "The RoSPA Awards programme provides well-deserved recognition for the winners and spurs on other organisations to raise their standards of accident and ill health prevention."

Mr Rawlins added that he encourages all of RoSPA's winners to remain committed to safety and health, as it is good for both workers and the bottom line.

The scheme has been running since 1956, making it the oldest programme of its kind in Britain.

Last month, RoSPA announced a health and safety clinic, which will take place from September 18th to September 20th at the Birmingham NEC.

It stressed that procedures should be as "safe as necessary, not as safe as possible".ADNFCR-2754-ID-801422706-ADNFCR
