The British Safety Council has launched a new website, which may improve businesses' knowledge of safety signage.

It is hoped that the new site will strengthen the health and safety charity's online interaction with its members, while boosting commitments to standards in the sector.

Alex Botha, chief executive of the British Safety Council, said: "The launch of our new website represents a significant step in helping us to communicate and interact far more effectively with our members."

Mr Botha added that the site will showcase the public benefits the charity delivers, as it aims to realise its vision that no one should be injured due to work.

It comes after This Is The West Country reported that Yeovil's Orchard Gymnastics Group has been presented its third award of 2011.

The club has collected the British Gymastics' Gym Mark honour, which was handed over to them at last month's Somerset Festival of Movement. ADNFCR-2754-ID-800782526-ADNFCR
