Bath's approach to river safety will be highlighted at the National Water Safety Seminar in Birmingham today (April 26th).

Over 100 professionals from the UK will assemble to debate industry topics, with Nathan Davies from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) set to showcase findings in a presentation on the River Avon, reports the Bath Chronicle.

A report was commissioned by Avon and Somerset Police as well as North East Somerset Council, leading to suggestions of new warning signs between Windsor Bridge and Churchill Bridge.

David Walker, RoSPA's leisure safety manager, told the news provider: "Presentations like the one about how river safety is being addressed in Bath are invaluable because they serve as a tool both to inform and inspire delegates."

Elsewhere, new signage was recently erected in Thorney Toll, with Peterborough Today reporting that the installation will lead to significant improvements in road safety for the area.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801349849-ADNFCR
